FTP is working so I am connected but can't share. Registered: Jul Location: Posts: 6 No I haven't solved it yet but I think its in windows side and not in xbox or xbmc. I am going insane!!! I can ftp to the xbox. I tried the non secure setup and could not view the network share on the pc. It kept asking me for a username and password.
I thought i would try the secure setup and i am having the same problem. I have been reading heaps of topics but i havent seen a reply to the many people that have had the same issue. I have the following in my file. Neither the one using the pc name or the one with the ip work Registered: Aug Location: Posts: 2 sigh I try and fix a problem till it drives me nuts.
Then as soon as i post a topic i work it out. What the guides dont tell you to check is the network setup in xbmc. I had it all working in unleashx. So for anyone else that has the same problem it was not picking up the network settings in xbmc properly. The ip for my xbox ended in.
Change this over and it connects straight away. No i have the same problem lots of others look to be having. But if i try to stream even a JPG it takes ages for it to come up. If i try to load a movie across the network it takes ages for anythign to display then i get a movie that is paused more than it plays. Can anyone help??
